Sekelselle is hard en het 'n geronde rand. Hierdie selle can nie deur klein bloedvate deurdruk nie. Hulle blokkeer die organe om bloed te ontvang. Jou liggaam vernietig sekelselle vinnig, maar dit kan nie nuwe rooibloedselle vinnig genoeg produseer nie - 'n toestand wat anemie genoem word.
