Dihedral angle
Angle between an aeroplane's wing and the laternal axis of the plane. This will be the horizontal plane when on level ground. The dihedral angle referrs specifically to when the wings are angled upwards relative to the laternal axis. Dihedral wing angles give stability in flight while reducing efficiency.
